With Superior being the big brother of Ezi, I'd probably lean towards that - just my 2c worth.Īnother thing is, not using cymbals is possibly going to make whatever program you use a bit more resource friendly (no constant hi-hat, & you wont be triggering sounds over decaying cymbal samples). BFD & Ezi-Drummer operate a bit differently (with Ezi being a bit more - well, easy.), but the drum sounds in both are great, & are actually fairly similar. I've had no experience with Addictive sorry.įor me, the most obvious differences between the differering Drum software & modules out there is the realism of the cymbals (decay, expressive control, ect), so with them out of the equation, that just leaves the sound & expressiveness of the drum samples themselves. I do like what I've seen/heard of it so far though, so I can imagine Superior would be pretty cool. I've got Ezi-Drummer, but I haven't installed it yet (still haven't bought a Tower PC yet the sound card I'm using for it has a breakout box that has to install in a tower), so I can't give you much of a first-hand account of it as of yet. If you find that the AD2 Keyboard layout suits you better, you can go into the Settings > MIDI In/E-drums and select the AD2. Drumforge Savior is a real deal for metal music 4. Those articulations have to go somewhere on the keyboard layout and the goal is to both be drums GM compliant plus grooves and library compatible across the Toontrack line. I wish now I had upgraded at Christmas just for all the Prochannel goodies, but no sense crying over missed opportunities. I already had Toontrack's Superior Drummer 2.3, so I figured I'd just go with Studio. Search: Addictive Drums Ableton Drum Rack. The sounds were nice and punchy straight out, as where I always have to raise levels in Superior Drummer for cymbals. GGD on the other hands are good for rock or metal music or fusion 3. I thought about getting Producer back then, but it seemed the biggest difference was the inclusion of Addictive Drums. I'm not one for tweaking, so I liked Addictive Drums a lot better. SSD5 can play all around just like AD2 but with more solid sounds 2. I published a guide of mixing drums, just how I do it in my upcoming album. A friend I did some writing with has BFD the sounds were stunningly realistic, but it was quite taxing on the Computer. i am a real heavy user of virtual drums here, based on my experiences are 1. :)This video cuts ears since 2014, but performs better than a half of my videos.
